Overmars is a orange wine made from Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley, made by Domaine Mosse. The Mosse family (Agnès & René, now also Joseph & Sylvestre) cultivate vines organically in schist-rich soils, and the production is minimal-intervention. Its a rich wine with aromas of ripe stone fruit (apricot, mango), balanced bitterness, good acidity, and a texture more substantial than a classic white. It’s sophisticated and with ageing potential — complicated, expressive, and great with food.
