Flavor Profile: Fruity and dry, this wine presents an elegant balance between ripe fruit flavors and refreshing acidity.
Terroir: The Rittersberg vineyard is situated on a southeast-facing slope above the village of Scherwiller, beneath the medieval Ortenbourg castle. The soil is primarily composed of granite, similar to that of Dambach-la-Ville, but with a deeper topsoil and higher rainfall, contributing to the wine's roundness and volume.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested together and undergo a long, gentle pressing lasting 6 to 8 hours. Fermentation occurs in wooden foudres using naturally occurring yeasts, followed by aging for at least 10 months. The wine is bottled without filtration or any additives, adhering to natural winemaking practices.
Producer: Beck-Hartweg is a historic domaine in Alsace, tracing its roots back to the early 16th century. Located in the medieval town of Dambach-la-Ville, the estate is currently managed by Florian and Mathilde Beck-Hartweg, the 16th generation of the family. They practice organic and biodynamic viticulture, focusing on enhancing soil and vine health to produce expressive, terroir-driven wines.

WHAT TYPE OF GROWERS WE WORK WITH
OIur wines are a reflection of nature's truest form. We partner only with biodynamic vineyards—places where vines are nurtured with a reverence for the earth and a deep respect for natural rhythms. These vineyards view the soil not as a means to an end but as a living, breathing ecosystem. By working in harmony with the land, they cultivate wines that are as alive as the soils they spring from.
Our wines hold the pure expression of the vine, untouched by chemical interference and guided by the wisdom of traditional methods. Each bottle carries an honest snapshot of its origin: the seasons, the hands that tended the vines, and the character of the soil itself. These are wines with a pulse, honest and unapologetic, offering a taste of nature in its unaltered state.
