Made by Johan “Stompie” Meyer under his Mother Rock label in the Swartland region of South Africa, crafted following the “Brutal!” ethos—meaning zero additions, zero removals (a “zero/zero” wine)—this is a deliberate natural wine that leans into experimentation. This wine is made from 100% Chenin Blanc, macerated on skins for 7 days, then aged entirely in concrete vessels—true to Mother Rock’s minimal intervention philosophy.
Grapes: 100% Chenin Blanc
Alcoholpercentage: 11,3%
Vinification: Grapes are placed in open-top fermenters as whole clusters — stems included — to encourage gentle tannin extraction and lift aromatics. Maceration lasts about 7 days, with daily manual punch-downs. After skin contact, the grapes are pressed and the juice transferred to neutral concrete tanks for fermentation.
Appareance: Cloudy, hazy golden to light amber color.
Nose & Palate: Yellow apple, quince, subtle citrus peel, hints of dried herbs, white pepper, and nutty tones.

WHAT TYPE OF GROWERS WE WORK WITH
OIur wines are a reflection of nature's truest form. We partner only with biodynamic vineyards—places where vines are nurtured with a reverence for the earth and a deep respect for natural rhythms. These vineyards view the soil not as a means to an end but as a living, breathing ecosystem. By working in harmony with the land, they cultivate wines that are as alive as the soils they spring from.
Our wines hold the pure expression of the vine, untouched by chemical interference and guided by the wisdom of traditional methods. Each bottle carries an honest snapshot of its origin: the seasons, the hands that tended the vines, and the character of the soil itself. These are wines with a pulse, honest and unapologetic, offering a taste of nature in its unaltered state.
