This box pairs two wines that fully embrace the Mother Rock Brutal ethos, zero intervention, high drinkability, and unapologetic energy. Made in Swartland by Johan Stompie Meyer, these wines are about freedom, texture, and immediacy, without makeup or shortcuts.
Brutal Red 2024 is a light, translucent red built on Pinot Noir with a touch of Cinsault, a playful nod to Pinotage without imitation. It is fresh, juicy, and bright, packed with cranberry, red cherry, and pomegranate, lifted by floral perfume and subtle herbal tones. Ten days on skins bring gentle structure and crunchy tannins, keeping the wine savory and food friendly. Chill it slightly and drink it young, this is glou glou with intent.
Brutal White 2024 is a zero zero Chenin Blanc, macerated on skins for seven days and aged in concrete. Cloudy and hazy in the glass, it opens with yellow apple, quince, and citrus peel, followed by dried herbs, white pepper, and a soft nutty edge. The skin contact adds grip without heaviness, making it expressive, tactile, and alive.
Together, these two wines offer contrast and coherence. One red, one white, both light, energetic, and honest. A box for people who like their wines raw, vibrant, and full of movement.

WHAT TYPE OF GROWERS WE WORK WITH
OIur wines are a reflection of nature's truest form. We partner only with biodynamic vineyards—places where vines are nurtured with a reverence for the earth and a deep respect for natural rhythms. These vineyards view the soil not as a means to an end but as a living, breathing ecosystem. By working in harmony with the land, they cultivate wines that are as alive as the soils they spring from.
Our wines hold the pure expression of the vine, untouched by chemical interference and guided by the wisdom of traditional methods. Each bottle carries an honest snapshot of its origin: the seasons, the hands that tended the vines, and the character of the soil itself. These are wines with a pulse, honest and unapologetic, offering a taste of nature in its unaltered state.
